SSD is faster than HDD. Period. Everyone knows this. Consequently many users think that switching from HDD to SSD will dramatically improve the performance of their database system. It's basically saying if you allocate enough RAM to keep everything in memory, then the performance of HDD vs SSD is no longer important. That's not very interesting.
